Samples

More Father Ted samples at HumorNet

I would prefer samples in .WAV format, and not more than a few seconds. I can't edit them, so great big chunks of dialogue are out. If space permits I will supply samples in both WAV and AU format. Get sampling!

Theme

Here it is in MIDI format, courtesy of Spot the Dog.

And again, in a new arrangement more faithful to the original, thanks to Philip Evans:

Tribute music

It had to happen sooner or later - someone's written a techno song involving Father Ted samples. Fraser Charlton writes:

It had been an idea of mine for some time, and the discovery of Trackers finally made it possible for me to write the bugger. You'll need Fasttracker 2, Impulse tracker or Mod4Win to play it (do the setup carefully on FT2 to ensure 44000Hz output and stereo or you'll be stuck with 8bit mono sound like I was for ages!). It's a typical dumb house music track, but with the added bonus of using 'Feck', 'Arse', 'Drink' and 'Girls' as primary percussive elements.

It's certainly gone down a storm with those people I've played it to. I even sent a few tapes off to appropriate people, with no response. Bastards. Anyway, if I can't make money with it, I'd like it to go to a large audience, so I'd be honoured if it could reside within the pages of the Examiner - perhaps stuck to the front with tape that rips off half the cover picture when you take it off?

Hope you enjoy it - and do let me know if you have trouble finding a player. I recommend visiting http://www.th-zwickau.de/~maz/ for all things tracker.
